Can you hang flyers on telephone poles?

It is illegal to put flyers on telephone poles. When linemen begin their ascent up utility poles, they are faced with numerous safety concerns. Between the high voltage electricity overhead and the unforgiving ground below, their work environment is truly hazardous. To add to their challenges, they also have to deal with illegally posted signs and flyers that further complicate their already demanding job.
