"Flyertap assisted us in executing an offline marketing campaign in ten cities across the US, including door-to-door and hand-to-hand channels, as well as direct mail outreach. The campaign succeeded in engaging a considerable number of customers, including both existing high-value customers and newly acquired ones. We gained valuable insights from testing different offers, analyzing the placement of flyers, and measuring customer engagement. We plan to implement these findings in future campaigns."

About Arlington

Arlington, VA Arlington County is located in the Northern region of Virginia and borders Washington, D.C., across the Potomac River. This county, part of the U.S., is known for its vibrant culture and great activities. Although it is not officially labeled as an independent city or town under Virginia state law, Arlington County is the second-largest in the Washington metropolitan area. According to the 2020 census, an estimated 238,643 people live in Arlington County. This makes it the 6th largest among Virginia counties by population and the largest unincorporated community across America. Arlington County, with an area of just 26 square miles, is the smallest self-governing county in the U.S. However, if it were to become a city, it would be the third-largest population in Virginia. Moreover, there are no incorporated towns under state law within Arlington County. History of Arlington, VA Virginia handed over present-day Arlington County and much of Alexandria to the U.S. government in 1791. This prompted Congress to, at Washington's request, adjust the Residence Act to accept this new site, including the land ceded by Virginia. Nevertheless, the Residence Act explicitly barred the construction of public buildings anywhere but the Maryland side of the Potomac River. Congress arrived in the new capital and officially created the District of Columbia by passing the Organic Act of 1801. As a result, all federal territory was placed in the hands of Congress, including Washington City, Georgetown & Alexandria. Primarily due to the financial negligence of Congress, disagreements over slavery, and the deprivation of voting rights for residents in D.C., a campaign was established to bring Alexandria back to Virginia from the District of Columbia. Virginia's lawmakers were worried that the residents of Alexandria County needed to be appropriately included in the retrocession proceedings. The people of Alexandria County in Virginia made history when they voted to secede from the United States during the American Civil War on May 23, 1861. Out of all 1006 voters, a resounding majority of 958 approved secession, while only 48 disagreed. Locals living in rural parts of the county outside the city were faithful to the Union and didn't support secession. In 1864, the federal government seized the Abingdon estate near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport due to its owner's failure to pay property tax in person while he was enlisted in the Confederate Army. The government had the property auctioned off, and an interested party took ownership of the real estate. Subsequently, they leased it to a third party. James A. Garfield, who was part of the Union Army during the Civil War and was later elected as America's 20th President, also joined Hunter's defense team as a lawyer. In a landmark ruling back in 1870, the U.S. Supreme Court deemed the government's seizure of Robert E. Lee's property to be unlawful and thus ordered its return to Hunter. Sadly, Mary Anna Custis Lee (the rightful owner) couldn't pay the tax on time for personal reasons. Following the passage of the 1862's law, the government confiscated Lee's family land to make a military cemetery. After his father and mother passed away, George Washington Custis Lee sought legal aid to regain the property. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in December 1882 that the federal government had wrongfully appropriated Custis Lee's property without providing him due process in adherence to their earlier judgment in the Hunter case. In 1883, the U.S. Congress bought the land owned by Lee for $150,000 and transformed it into a military reservation - this later became what is now known as Arlington National Cemetery. In 1920, the name Arlington County was adopted after Arlington House, the home of the American Civil War Confederate general Robert E. In 1920, the Virginia legislature renamed Arlington County to avoid confusion with the City of Alexandria, which had become an independent city in 1870 under the new Virginia Constitution adopted after the Civil War. February 1959 saw a significant milestone achieved in Arlington County Schools; Stratford Junior High School (now Dorothy Hamm) was desegregated with the entrance of black students Donald Deskins, Michael Jones, Lance Newman, and Gloria Thompson. Even after the Brown v. Board of Education decision, African-American students were still refused entry into white schools. However, the U.S. District Court eventually ruled that Arlington's educational facilities had to be desegregated by the 1958 - 1959 school term. At the start of 1959, U.S. District Court and Virginia Supreme Court declared that Virginia's massive resistance movement, resisting racial integration, was invalid. The Central Library, located in Arlington County, houses many written materials and recordings from its Oral History Project regarding the fight for desegregation in the area. Darwin Stolzenbach envisioned bringing a rapid transit system to the region and diligently worked on the plans for what is now known as the Washington Metro. This included two lines in Arlington, which have benefitted commuters greatly. Initially, the Orange Line would be built along I-66, which would have mostly benefited Fairfax County. To make it a reality, some land had to be transferred from Arlington County into the District of Columbia south of the old county line. In 2018, Amazon stirred up a lot of excitement when they announced constructing their co-headquarters in Crystal City and uplifted the nearby neighborhoods of Arlington and Alexandria. This area was then given a new identity - National Landing.
