"Flyertap assisted us in executing an offline marketing campaign in ten cities across the US, including door-to-door and hand-to-hand channels, as well as direct mail outreach. The campaign succeeded in engaging a considerable number of customers, including both existing high-value customers and newly acquired ones. We gained valuable insights from testing different offers, analyzing the placement of flyers, and measuring customer engagement. We plan to implement these findings in future campaigns."

Learn more about Andover, MA

About Andover

Andover, MA Andover is a historic community in Essex County, Massachusetts, founded in 1642. The total population as of the 2020 census amounted to 36,569 inhabitants. Andover, Massachusetts, is situated 20 miles (32 km) north of Boston and 4 miles (6.4 km) south of Lawrence. The town also includes the census-designated place known as Andover. Interestingly, it is also twinned with a city of the same name in Hampshire, England. History of Andover, MA For millennia before the arrival of Europeans, Native Americans had been living in present-day northeastern Massachusetts. During this time, they would fish for Alewives in the Cochichawick River. This river was then transferred to English settlers on May 16th, 1649, by the Sagamore of the Massachusett known as Cutshamache. In 1634, the Massachusetts General Court allocated portions of Essex County for an interior settlement, including parts of present-day Andover, North Andover, and South Lawrence. To attract people to stay & settle, the early settlers were given three years of tax and service exemption (except military duty). This was an excellent incentive for them to build up their livelihood. In 1709, the Massachusetts Great and General Court divided Andover into two parishes - north and south - due to a disagreement over where the meeting house should be located. Subsequently, in 1826, a third parish was created, and West Parish Church was erected on Reservation Road. In 1855, Andover was split into two distinct political entities based on the pre-existing parish limits. The mill's opening transformed the village into a bustling hub of activity. By 1922, there were over 200 homes, community buildings, tennis courts, and a swimming area. There was even a bowling green and golf course for those who wanted to engage in recreational activities. Unfortunately, the industrial boom lasted only a short time, and by the early 1940s, most of the housing and administrative buildings reverted to private ownership. In 1953, the American Woolen Company closed its mills, and the buildings have since been repurposed into a mix of businesses, residences, and apartments. The small town of Andover, MA, was at the center of the Salem Witch Trials in 1692. Dozens of its citizens, primarily women and their kids were levied with accusations of sorcery. Three residents of Andover had the unfortunate fate of being convicted and executed. Additionally, five more people pleaded guilty without a trial or were found guilty at court proceedings. Despite being found guilty, Gov. William Phips spared the lives of some of them by granting them reprieves. Even so, their conviction records were still held. Following petitions by Abigail Faulkner Sr. and Sarah Wardwell in 1703, Massachusetts Governor Joseph Dudley took action in 1713 to reverse the attainder for those convicted of involvement in the episode. On November 17th, 1798, David Brown organized a liberty pole in Dedham, Massachusetts. Its words were intended to show the public's dissatisfaction with the Stamp Act, Sedition Act, and Alien Bills. Additionally, people hoped for the downfall of tyrannical figures and "peace and retirement" for the then-President John Adams and Vice President Thomas Jefferson- which was the slogan written on it: "No Stamp Act, No Sedition Act, No Alien Bills." Memorial Hall Library, a lasting monument to the 53 Andover men who perished during the Civil War, was built in 1873 and funded through generous private donations. Before the Civil War broke out, Andover was a stronghold supporting abolitionism. Once the war concluded in 1865, six hundred of its citizens had fought in the Union forces.
